Consultation Policy
Effective Date: 6 July 2026
Last Updated: 6 July 2026
Welcome to Skin Balance.
Our consultations are designed to provide personalised skincare guidance in a supportive, professional, and educational environment. Every recommendation is tailored to your individual skin concerns, lifestyle, and goals, helping you build a skincare routine that is realistic, effective, and sustainable.
To ensure the best possible experience for every client, please take a moment to read the following Consultation Policy before booking your appointment.
1. Booking & Payment
All consultations must be booked through our online booking system and paid for in full at the time of booking.
Your appointment is confirmed once payment has been successfully received and you have received your booking confirmation email.
Consultation fees are listed in Euro (€). Prices may be updated from time to time, however any changes will not affect consultations that have already been confirmed and paid for.
2. Rescheduling & Cancellation
We understand that unexpected situations can arise and appreciate as much notice as possible if you need to change your appointment.
Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled consultation using the link provided in your booking confirmation email.
Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment, missed appointments, or failure to attend without prior notice are non-refundable.
Should Skin Balance need to cancel or reschedule your consultation due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered an alternative appointment or, if preferred, a full refund.
3. Consultation Form
To provide personalised recommendations, we ask every client to complete a consultation form before their appointment.
The form must be submitted at least 72 hours before your consultation, allowing sufficient time for careful review and preparation.
Please ensure that all information provided is accurate, complete, and up to date. The quality and suitability of your recommendations depend on the information you choose to share.
If the form has not been received within the required timeframe, your consultation may need to be postponed.
4. Online Consultations
Consultations are conducted online using the platform specified in your booking confirmation.
To help ensure a smooth consultation, we recommend that you:
Join your appointment on time.
Use a stable internet connection.
Attend the consultation from a quiet and well-lit environment.
Allow enough uninterrupted time for your appointment.
If unexpected technical issues occur, every reasonable effort will be made to continue or rearrange the consultation at a mutually convenient time.
5. Client Responsibilities
A personalised consultation relies on open and honest communication.
By booking a consultation, you agree to provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. This includes informing Skin Balance of any relevant skin conditions, allergies, product sensitivities, medications, or treatments that may influence your skin or the recommendations provided.
Clients under the age of 18 should obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian before booking a consultation.
6. Personalised Recommendations
Every person's skin is unique. As a result, skincare outcomes vary and are influenced by many factors, including skin condition, consistency, lifestyle, health, environmental influences, and adherence to a recommended routine.
For this reason, Skin Balance cannot guarantee specific results following a consultation.
Recommendations are based on the information you provide and are intended to support and educate you in making informed skincare decisions. They should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
If you have persistent, severe, or worsening skin concerns, we encourage you to seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional or dermatologist.
7. Limitation of Liability
Skin Balance provides personalised skincare education and product guidance but does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.
While every recommendation is made with professional care and consideration, clients remain responsible for their own skincare decisions, product purchases, patch testing where appropriate, and the use of any products discussed during the consultation.
Skin Balance cannot accept responsibility for allergic reactions, sensitivities, or adverse effects resulting from undisclosed medical conditions, incomplete or inaccurate information provided during the consultation process, or the misuse of skincare products.
8. Intellectual Property
All consultation materials created by Skin Balance, including personalised skincare plans, written recommendations, digital guides, workbooks, educational resources, and supporting materials, remain the intellectual property of Skin Balance unless otherwise stated.
These materials are provided exclusively for your personal use and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, published, shared, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
9. Changes to this Policy
From time to time, this Consultation Policy may be updated to reflect changes in our services, business practices, or legal requirements.
The most recent version will always be available on our website together with the Effective Date.
